Aluminium enclosures, chassis and heat sinks for electronics
Enclosures, housings, covers, chassis, heat sinks and structural brackets in aluminium for avionics, defence electronics, UAV and industrial electronics. Machined from solid for prototypes and small batches, die cast when volumes grow: same supplier, same drawing, same quality system.
Processes
In house and at qualified partners
| CNC machining | In house: DMG MORI ecoMill 50 and MILLTAP 700, Haas VF-2SSYT (3 axis) and UMC-500SS (5 axis). At qualified partners: about 20 further 3, 4 and 5 axis machining centres, large 5-axis machines with travels up to 6,000 mm, multitasking lathes, EDM and grinding. |
|---|---|
| Die casting | At qualified partners: 12 presses, 150-1200 t. LAGA proprietary mould system, tooling savings up to 70%; convenient from about 150 parts a year. |
| Sand casting | At qualified partners: aluminium and cast iron castings, also cored, from our own patterns (green sand, resin sand, DISA moulding). |
| Surface treatments | At Nadcap-accredited qualified partners: anodising, chromating, tin, nickel, chrome and silver plating, bluing. In house: sandblasting and washing. |
| Painting | In house, liquid and powder, with masking, qualified by Leonardo Elettronica. Spray booth 4 x 3.5 m and curing oven. Nadcap accreditation for painting is in progress, not yet granted. |
| Marking and assembly | Fibre laser marking and labelling, threaded inserts, pins and rivets, bonding, sealing, cable assembly, packing to your specification. |
| Inspection | Hexagon CMM, in-house X-ray radioscopy, salt spray chamber, environmental test oven, full traceability and complete reporting. |

FAQ
Questions we are asked most often
What is the minimum batch?
From one part. We deliver batches from 1 to 1,000 parts.
What is the typical lead time?
Six weeks with an annual schedule agreed in advance.
Can you follow a part from prototype to series?
Yes. Prototypes and small batches are machined from solid; when volumes justify the tooling we move the same part to die casting, with our own mould system.
Do you do everything in house?
Machining, painting, masking, marking, assembly and inspection are ours. Die casting, sand casting and chemical surface treatments are done by qualified partners, the treatments at Nadcap-accredited suppliers. We stay the single point of responsibility.
Are you certified for defence work?
Our EN 9100 certificate covers aerospace and defence. Painting processes are qualified by Leonardo Elettronica.
