What we collect, and why
If you write to us
We collect your name, email address, any phone number or company name, and the content of your message, including files you attach (a technical drawing, for example). We use them only to reply to you and, if a supply relationship follows, to manage it.
Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
Retention: two years from the last contact if the enquiry leads nowhere; for the duration of the relationship plus ten years if it does, to meet civil and tax obligations.
If you open a link from one of our emails
Some of our business emails contain a link to a page of this website with a code that identifies the contact we wrote to. When the page is opened we record the code, the page, the date and the referring address, if the browser sends it: we do not collect the IP address, we do not use cookies and we do not rely on external services. It helps us understand whether the message was useful and avoid writing again to people who are not interested.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in assessing business communications addressed to companies (art. 6.1.f GDPR). You can object at any time by writing to info@laga.it.
Retention: two years from the last contact.
When you visit the site
The server automatically records IP address, date and time, page requested and browser type. These are the ordinary technical logs of any web server: they keep the site running and protect it from abuse.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working (art. 6.1.f GDPR).
Retention: the technical period set by our hosting provider.
What we do NOT do
This site uses no analytics and no profiling tools: no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no remarketing. Apart from what is described above for links in our emails, we do not track your browsing behaviour, we do not build profiles, and we neither sell nor share your data with anyone for commercial purposes.
Who else can see your data
Your data stays within our organisation and is handled by authorised staff. It may be processed on our behalf, as data processors, by the suppliers who provide our technical services:
- SiteGround — website and mailbox hosting (European Union);
- our advisers (accountant, lawyer) where required by law.
We disclose data to authorities and supervisory bodies only where the law requires it.
Transfers outside the European Union
Our providers process data within the European Union: we do not transfer your data outside the EU.
Your rights
At any time you may ask us to:
- tell you what data of yours we hold and give you a copy (access and portability);
- correct it if it is wrong or incomplete;
- erase it;
- restrict its use, or object to the processing;
- withdraw your consent, where processing is based on consent.
Write to info@laga.it: we reply within one month. If you believe your data is being handled improperly, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

If we change the way we handle data, we will update this page and state the date.
